About Lyrin

A new chapter in interactive literature

Lyrin turns published novels into worlds you can step into, while the author keeps the pen.

Most interactive fiction forces a choice: the freedom of a sandbox where the story loses its shape, or the safety of a fixed branching tree that never surprises you. Lyrin sits deliberately between the two.

Every book on Lyrin is read through a contract the author defines. The spine of the story, its essential beats, are protected as events that will happen. Around them, the reader is free to explore, improvise, and change the texture of the journey without derailing the narrative the author intended.

A deterministic engine, not the language model, decides what is possible: whether an action succeeds, when a key moment must arrive, how the world responds. The model only writes the prose. That is how Lyrin keeps the voice of literature while giving you the agency of a game.

Lyrin is an independent project, currently in research preview. It begins with a small, hand-curated library and grows one book, one author, at a time.
