Terms of Service

Last updated 23 May 2026

Working draft, not yet legal advice. This text must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Lyrin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

Lyrin is an interactive reading platform in research preview. Features may change, break, or be removed while we develop it. We provide the service as is, without guarantees of availability.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to use Lyrin.

4. Authors and content

Authors retain full ownership of the works they bring to Lyrin. By publishing a book you grant us a limited licence to host it, process it, and present it to readers in interactive form. You confirm you hold the rights needed to do so.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to break its security, scrape its content at scale, or use it to infringe anyone's rights. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Payments and royalties

Paid features and author royalties are not yet active. When they launch, specific commercial terms will be added here and you will be asked to accept them before any charge.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Lyrin is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be signalled in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be handled by the competent French courts, subject to mandatory consumer protections.
